Are There Any Contraindications for Electrical Stimulation?

Before purchasing a TENS or EMS device, what medical conditions should users be cautious about? Have any of you consulted a doctor beforehand? I want to understand potential risks, especially for people with heart conditions or implants.

Before buying a TENS or EMS device, it’s really important to consider certain medical conditions. People with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, or other electronic implants should generally avoid electrical stimulation unless a doctor specifically approves it. Those with heart conditions, epilepsy, or who are pregnant should also consult a healthcare professional first. I personally spoke with my doctor before starting, just to be safe. I also reviewed safety information provided on tensmachines.co.nz which clearly outlines precautions and recommended guidelines for safe use.
